An increasingly popular choice for closing the day

The daytime crowds at the Acropolis are gone. The day-trippers have left, the temperature is finally pleasant, and the light takes over. No morning gold here—something far more dramatic. The sun setting behind the hills of Athens, turning the marble columns into shades of orange, red, and copper. The light around 18:00 makes all the difference, both in photos and in reality.

REVIEWS

What our guests say

Our visitors are happy to share their experiences of our Acropolis tours. Read their reviews and discover how others have experienced their visit to this impressive monument.

Tine gave us an engaging tour of both the museum and the Acropolis. She clearly knows what she is talking about and draws fascinating connections between antiquity, later history, and present-day Athens. She responds smoothly to your questions and interests. We are archaeologists ourselves and still learned so much. A highly knowledgeable, class-leading guide and a very pleasant person who also speaks many languages.

We had a very enjoyable and lively guided tour of the Acropolis! Fotini took us through the long history of the Parthenon, the Temple of Nike, and more. She also knows the perfect spots to briefly escape the crowds and truly take in the experience. A tour in Dutch is a real advantage when children are involved, as it keeps them much more engaged.

A fresh, windy day, but the guide’s smooth and engaging approach kept everyone’s attention sharp. Even the children (16 and 18) were actively involved through thoughtful questions and challenges. A very pleasant experience. Highly recommended!!
