My name is Fotini (Tine) Lepidou. I am Greek, but I was born and raised in Belgium, more specifically in the Flemish region — a proud Limburger!

After a brief career as a teacher (German), I eventually decided to leave Belgium and settle in my country of origin. Here in Greece, I discovered my Mediterranean side.

This beautiful country, with its rich culture and history, captivated me from the very beginning. That is why I followed the National Academic Guide Training in Crete, from which I graduated in 2000.

Since then, my job has become my passion! I truly love what I do, and interacting with people fascinates me — young or old, from every corner of the world!

I speak fluent Dutch, French, German, English, Spanish (and of course Greek!). As a Dutch-speaking guide in Athens, my mission is to offer Dutch and Flemish visitors a truly authentic experience — a personal tour where history, mythology, and local stories come to life!

I live in a northern suburb of Athens with my husband, our two daughters, and our poodle. In my free time, I love nothing more than playing tourist in my own city.

I’m always on the lookout for culinary discoveries, new boutique hotels, hidden rooftop terraces with stunning views, and secret gems — because a good guide never stops exploring! The vibe of Athens, that unique mix of ancient and modern, of rough edges and refined beauty, is something you simply have to experience — both literally and figuratively.

We had a very enjoyable and lively guided tour of the Acropolis! Fotini took us through the long history of the Parthenon, the Temple of Nike, and more. She also knows the perfect spots to briefly escape the crowds and truly take in the experience. A tour in Dutch is a real advantage when children are involved, as it keeps them much more engaged.
